Quote:A friend who shares my Clay love and I were lucky enough to get tickets to the Jimmy Kimmel show last night. My friend was able to get the tickets at about 12:00 noon yesterday, so plans quickly were put into place. We left work at 4:00 p.m. and arrived in line for the show at 5:30 - had to be there by 6:15.
We finally got our seats (way up in the back of the theatre) - didn't matter because we were inside and we got seats. We clapped and screamed for Clay - the LLB fans clapped and screamed for their guys.
Clay looked so good - hair was dark (I personally like it a wee bit lighter) and I knew something was different about his face - no sideburns. Didn't realize until I got home that the sideburns were gone. Now, I think he is a hunk no matter what, but I prefer the sideburns. The sideburns make him look masculine and mature, and I just plain love them.
I was so hoping he would tell us his plans for the near future as well as plans about his album, but of course he didn't. The interview was way too short, but I am spoiled from the last time Clay was on the show. He and Jimmy seemed to be very comfortable with each other and it was fun to see them interact during filming and during commercial break.
The flowers and balloons were beautiful. Clay's fans really know how to show their love. I couldn't believe the number of bouquets that kept coming out during the first commercial break. I have to wonder if Clay knew that all of this was for him because he seemed to want to share the Fan love with Jimmy.
To see LLB perform, the audience was asked to get up from their seats and go to another room. Clay was watching the band with Jimmy at the southwest side of the room, and most of Clay's fans were congregated down by him where we could see him clearly. Nick was with him and a couple of times it seemed that Clay and Nick had an animated conversation. Clay was tapping his foot keeping time to the band, but seemed to be anxious to leave as soon as the band had finished. Jimmy's girlfriend arrived later and gave Clay a hug - very cute! As Clay and his entourage left the room, all of us yelled his name and he turned around, smiled and waved. How I love that smile of his!
We went around to the back of the theatre to see Clay and say hello, but I think he left immediately after the show. However, we did see some of the bouquets of flowers and balloons leave the back entrance. There were lots of LLB fans back there and a total of three Clay fans (us included) waiting to see our guys. After 45 minutes, we decided Clay had probably left the building and went home.
It's always fun to go to these things and meet up with other Clay fans that we have gotten to know and feel a true friendship with.
