Quote: Hey guys well I went the Kansas State fair last night and heres my review.
Okay we got to the concert around 6:00, we were running a little late because I had to go to school that day then we had to get ready lol. We arrived there and there was a bunch of people waiting in line to get into the arena. We finally get in and we headed straight for the merchandise stand. We waited for a while and while we are waiting there were fences that seperated the arena from everything else and that's where the buses were parked and you couldn't get to them but you could see everything that went on behind the fences. Well while we were in line and everyone started screaming, waving and taking pictures and Clay had walked out with his hat on and stuff. He looked so cute. ^_^
After we got our stuff we headed towards our seats, they were like in the middle. Finally Ben came out and I have to say he did an awesome job! I didn't think I would enjoy his performances, but I did and they were really good. Ben left and they start setting up for Clay. Everyone starts clapping and screaming, but he didn't come out till like 20 minutes later. When he came out he sang Streets and everyone was just screaming like crazy, including me! I lost my voice because I screamed so much, but it was worth it. His set seemed a lot shorter and I know it was because it was a fair concert. Well he sang, TITN, You were there, I survived You, Kyrie, I will Carry you, YGAF, Solitaire, Streets, The James Taylor set, Still The one, WYSYLM, and I think thats it. I might be forgetting one or something.
When he sang I Survived you, that was it. I was about to die, his voice was AMAZING and he looked so sexy. I mean I've watched the videos of it from other concerts, but its nothing like being there seeming him perfrom that live. <3
Also when he sang You Were There, it was incredible!! :spaz: That is one of my favorite songs of his and he just blew me away. I also notice because I have seen Clay live a few other times, but this time his voice was just outstanding. He sang everything perfectly and wow, it was amazing!!!
He brought a 61 year old women up on stage to sing with him and he was just so adorable with her. They sang together, and she was pretty good. Then he kissed her hand and gave her a hug. He also brought someone to come and dance with him on stage and that was cute too.
He talked for a while and he showed the video of him going on that ride with Jerome the one that fits 3 people and you fall from the sky. He made fun of Quianna and Angela a lot, but it was funny.
I took my best friend to this concert and she had always fun of Clay. I mean before we went to this concert she was like "I think Clay is a fruit and iIm only going because this is my first concert." Well as we were getting ready for the concert I was just estatic and she was getting more excited. When we were waiting for him to come out she was like ugh I want him to come out! lol So when he came out we were screaminng like crazy and so was everyone else. Well I as going insane and I was like awe look at him smile or OMG look at him dancing, hes so cute. Well I guess I got her in the mood, and she was pointing and saying like look at him. She was saying awe and hes so cute. Like when he had the lady on stage and when he was acting like he was playing the guitar.
After the concert we were so upset that it was over. :'( My best friend was like OMG his voice is AMAZING!!!! Usually when people sing live they aren't good, but he was incredible!! lol I was so happy she enjoyed and now she reliazes why I'm so in love with him. lol
It seemed so short though, I know the set was shorter, but it went by so fast.
He seemed so happy that night, and his voice was truly AMAZING! I know it always is, but that was the best I have ever heard it. <3
I met a lot of people, none of them were from IDF except for Sarah (Claymate_08).
If anyone has any pictures could you please post them!! I got a lot of pictures but I have to get them developed and the ones on my digital I have to upload so I'll try to do that soon. And if anyone has videos, please let me know!! Thanks guys! :flowers:
Edit: I remember some things he said, it was funny because Quinna was trying to get back at him because of the pics of her he was putting on the screens of her so he said that they went to a resturant and that Quianna was going to tell the waitor that it was Clay's birthday, and Clay said that the waitor wasn't to bright and Quianna was like "He was not". Clay was liek that plan didn't work out and she'll have to go back to the drawing board.
Then he said when he was at the Iowa state fair that everyone was saying they were better than Kansas so he had us scream a lot and it was funny. Then he was like I think you guys are beating them. lol

Another Clay Aiken road trip with sis, littlefish, woohoo!
Part Three: Kansas State Fair
We made it to Kansas with zero problemos: Yay! This time we get to see Clay at an outside Venue. We were running late again (do you see a pattern here? hee), so we donât find the other Meers in their Clay Rocks shirts at the designated tent or on the midway or anywhere there a bouts. We do find dc4clay and her husband and hang out with them in the beer garden. Later we talk to Arlitexas who we remember from the spring GP pre-concert party. *waves* to winekitty, ArtyAna and seymoursgal and the others that we missed.
This is a State Fair and the venue consisted of long rows of elevated, bleacher type seats. People are squeezed in like sardines and littlefish was having a mild panic attack (she got over it). Me, being the mellow sort I am (especially with a couple of beers in me *g*), was oblivious to her plight and all I could do is Eeeeee from watching the goings on at the buses out on the track before the show started. The band was hanging out while Ben Jelen was on and Jerome kept walking back and forth as did Nick.
This may sound silly, but it was very cool to see Mr. HeartThrobâs spiky head finally emerge from the building. Jerome was pointing the flashlight on the ground so Clay could see his way across the tracks and up the steps to the back of the stage. There was a lot of cheering at this point and it must have confused the natives that couldnât see what was going on (or where/what to look for⦠*g*).
The music/Intro startsâ¦How Hot IS he?!!! .. And, the Clay Aiken show begins⦠the crowd is roaring with anticipation.
Wow: This crowd is Extra Loud and the night whirls by at rapid speed.
WTSHNN: Clay does the driving move a leeetle bit longer than he did in Houston or G/P, teasing us, and we scream with glee.
(Watch the vids: theyâre priceless.)
Out of all of the thousands of people at the venue, the Guest Singer, okClayhoman, happens to be sitting right next to me. Before Jerome came and got her, sheâd asked me what Board I was on. When I said CH, she said: âgrrrr. You guys are too hard to get into!â (not in a mean way or anything). GBB: she said to tell you âHiâ. She was really good and when she got back to her seat, she was giddy as a school girl. Woot: for her!
ISY: Oh.My.God⦠how it tickles me to watch pissed.off.Clay emote. LuvIt!
YWT: For the record, this song got more applause here than in Dallas and Houston combined.
CoF: This is The Best Cover Song (second only to SSD)â¦. Itâs smokinâ hawt and worth the price of admission itself.
When Clay mentions having just been in Dallas, I, of course, have to woohoo (along with tons of other Dallasites/Texans) *g*, so he starts mentioning other cities to elicit screams.
Heâs such a delicious ham bone⦠I lurve him. Itâll be awhile before Angela lives down saying âCaliforniaâ... hee
Clay talked about going home and reporting on the message boards⦠Hi, Clay, Love Ya, Mucho.
By far the Most Heartfelt of all three shows was Clay's Thanks to The Fans speech before Invisible. I was Verklempt beyond words at his sincerity. If anyone, Evah, says Clay doesnât appreciate us/the Fans again, their post is gonna get scrolled without remorse.
SOLITAIRE: A show topping performance to the Nth Degree. Mind boggling at how great he sounds. I got teary... again.
Just as poignant as it was to see Clay ascend the stairs to start the show, it was even more so when he left⦠down the steps, across the tracks and onto the bus. The crowd was still clapping for him as the bus rolled off into the night and onto the next show. *sniff*
I had my first (and my last) fried twinkie... So, it's onwards to Charlotte/Raleigh, Chasing Clay *g*
We're looking forward to seeing you all there!
